We are convinced, that central banks across the world will introduce a so-called Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) like the digital Euro within the next five years.
This will create a whole ecosystem of products and services that fit perfectly with Giesecke+Devrient's existing product portfolio.
The CBDC ecosystem ranges from banking applications to mobile apps and down to small embedded devices.

The solutions involved in such an ecosystem will deal with terabytes of data, high availability, high performance, high security and millions of customers.
Our mission is to create and grow a new set of products and solutions that will enable all participants to benefit from the upcoming e-Money revolution.

 

To deliver outstanding CBDC research and implementation projects, we are looking for a french-speaking Client Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our Professional Services team.
 

Overall Goal: 

To manage customer projects end-to-end, and to drive the projects towards a successful closure.


Responsibilities:

  • Independent management of complex customer projects within our CBDC ecosystem, which includes backend applications, apps, wallets and smart cards

  • Confident control of projects and management of the project team over the entire project cycle from requirements analysis to implementation

  • Processing of tenders together with our sales department and the technical contact persons

  • Management of time, quality and resources in demanding pilot and development projects for customers, depending on the project and requirements with agile and / or classic project management methods

  • Anticipation and control of project risks in a rapidly changing environment

  • Cooperation with internal and external stakeholders on different hierarchical levels in an international environment

  • Driving uniform project management standards and documentation as well as continuous further development of the methods and tools used  
     

Skills:

  • You combine sound methodological knowledge in the field of IT project management with a pragmatic approach in order to lead projects to success in a targeted manner

  • You have at least three years of experience in managing complex IT projects for customers. Project teams respect you and you manage to inspire them

  • You communicate convincingly in English and French, both with internal teams and with our contact persons at the customer at all hierarchical levels; German is a plus

  • You have a sound understanding of software solutions and are therefore a competent contact for our technical colleagues

  • You have good analytical skills and can quickly understand new, complex topics. You keep track of things even in troubled waters and steer projects to success in a targeted and effective manner. You are able to manage and steer business-content discussions, even if you are not an expert in the subjects that are being discussed.

  • Experience with projects in the area of payment or with solutions that place high demands on IT security would be an advantage

  • Experience with Economics or Central Banks would be an advantage.

 

Organizational:

  • You will be an integral part of the Professional Services team, whose responsibility it is to successfully deliver customer projects.
  • Your customers will be Central Banks, with a focus on French-speaking countries. Willingness and flexibility to travel to customers on a regular basis is required.
  • Living in Munich is a plus, since a significant part of the team you will be working with is located in the G+D head office in Munich. If you are not based in Munich then on-site attendance is expected a few times per year, for team-building purposes and important project activities.
