We are convinced, that various central banks will introduce a digital version of their currency, a so-called Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) like the digital Euro in the coming years. This will create an entirely new market for products and services that fit perfectly with Giesecke+Devrient's product portfolio. It especially requires and outstanding team to deliver a disruptive innovation of that magnitude. For this, we have set-up a team as an independent start-up within G+D advance52 GmbH that has a clear mission for growth and to create a substantial product business. During the next year, we will scale rapidly to meet market demands, with a strong focus on shaping and implementing our new organizational structure.

We’re seeking a (Senior) Product Manager (m/f/d) to lead the strategy and evolution of our product platform and portfolio. This role focuses on defining the long-term product direction, ensuring platform scalability, and driving alignment across business, technology, and market initiatives. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to shape our product ecosystem and deliver value across multiple markets and use cases.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Product Vision & Strategy : Define and continuously refine a long-term product vision aligned with business objectives, technology development and market opportunities. And gain buy-in from technical and business stakeholders for your product vision
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers/partners to identify new business opportunities and represent the product value propositions in pre-sales and customers/partner engagements.
  • Roadmap & Prioritization: Develop and maintain an integrated roadmap that balances business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic priorities. Prioritize initiatives across product lines to maximise value and long-term growth.
  • Technical Fluency & Collaboration: Bridge the gap between business strategy and technical implementation through strong technical fluency by collaborating with technical stakeholders
  • Delivery Oversight: Support product delivery by ensuring strategic clarity and alignment among product owners and monitoring dependencies and risks.

Desired Skills & Experience

 

  • Strategic and systems thinker with strong technical fluency and the ability to connect business strategy to complex financial and technology ecosystems.
  • Proven experience defining and guiding product strategy and portfolio roadmaps for platform-scale or integration-focused products.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize customer, market, and performance data into clear product direction.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of gaining buy-in across executive, technical, and operational levels.
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries, with a solid understanding of compliance and security considerations.
  • Working knowledge of cloud architectures, APIs, and modern development practices.
  • Familiarity with scaled Agile environments (e.g., SAFe), focused on aligning product vision with business value delivery.
  • Demonstrates strong autonomy and sound judgment in moving work forward.
