Analyst / Associate (m/f/d) Venture Capital

We are an early stage venture capital fund, investing in early-stage European startups building technologies that promote and protect trust in digital ecosystems. Backed by G+D Group and the European Investment Bank, we manage a dedicated €50m TrustTech investment fund focused on identifying and supporting category-defining companies across cybersecurity, digital identity, trust infrastructure, and adjacent TrustTech markets.

We are seeking an Analyst / Associate to join our investment team in Munich for a one-year, full-time role. This is a unique opportunity to gain direct exposure to the full venture capital investment lifecycle while working closely with experienced investors in one of Europe’s most specialized thematic venture funds.
Your Responsibilities:
- Identify and proactively source promising startups across Europe through own network, industry conferences, demo days, and startup events
- Conduct deep research into emerging technology markets, building and maintaining thematic market maps, sector analyses, and investment theses
- Screen inbound deal flow and conduct initial company assessments, analysing competitive landscapes, customer traction, and founding teams
- Support commercial, technical, and financial due diligence processes
- Maintain the fund’s CRM system and investment databases, support internal reporting on financial KPIs and deal pipeline and contribute to G+D Ventures' market positioning and brand
Your Profile:
- Academic degree from a top-tier University in an engineering or scientific field.
- 1–4 years of professional experience in one or more of:
- Venture Capital / Private Equity
- Startup roles
- Management Consulting
- Strong analytical skills, including advanced know-how of Excel
- Excellent communication skills in English
- German language proficiency is beneficial but not required
- A big plus: proficiency in using the emerging AI Stack in applied problem solving
