Key Result Areas & Responsibilities:

  • Interaction with Project Management
  • Manage transport of people (delegate to administrative assistant)
  • Manage food / water supply (in coordination with administrative assistant)
  • Manage deliveries (documentation of damages, fill in proof of delivery, report status of deliveries)
  • Enabling discussions with the construction company and other local parties 
  • Support project team with the language barrier
  • Participate in regular site / construction meetings together with the project lead
  • Collaborate with suppliers, support in case of issues (missing material, conflicts, etc.)
  • Coordinate with administrative support (possibly only PT speaking employee; accounting, etc.)
  • Manage installation equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.), make sure everything is in order, coordinate with rental equipment supplier (accounting to report which equipment is on site, talk to the provider to make maintenance, repair, fill up gas, etc.) (in coordination with administrative assistant)
  • Ensure the right conditions to receive material (accessibility, fork lifts, openings, space for intermediate storage)
  • Manage storage locations, make sure that all parties maintain safe and clean working conditions (organize storage areas, clean up packaging material, etc.)
  • Engage with construction company to manage the cleaning team (cleaning the technical equipment and removing construction dust)
  • Very close alignment and constant good interaction with the project team
  • Create minutes of meetings, document all relevant topics in the daily business (possibly with administrative assistant)
  • Make sure that the on site spare parts storage is well managed and documented (can be delegated)
  • Duration of this job: 24 months
  • Starting 2 months before start of installation (currently this would mean November 2022) until SAT is reached and punch list items are solved
  • Help building the service teams on site (during the construction additional staff will be deployed which later perform service activities)
  • Potentially take over the role of maintenance team leader after handover of the project to the customer
  • Ensure availability of first aid kit and provide first response in case of accidents
  • Track arrival and departure of internal and external staff (possibly can be delegated to administrative assistant)
  • Align with the hotels in case of issues (can be delegated to administrative assistant)
  • Control all spare parts (content, handout to suppliers, follow up on re-fill of stock)
  • Manage the buses needed for commute (organize the drivers to run errands, collect the keys, etc.)

 

Requirements:

  • Preferably Angolan, living in Luanda for an extended time (nice to have, no must)
  • Hands-on mentality, work focus on the mechanical / electrical installation activities
  • Very good experience in technical activities, either project, site.
  • Good knowledge of Luanda; where to buy tools and parts, procure fabricated special parts (nice to have, knowledge can be obtained after deployment)
  • Portuguese language skills mandatory
  • Good English skills 
  • Good reporting skills
  • Well versed in MS Office Applications
