Logistics Representative
Summary
Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked. Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records, manually or using computer. Verifies computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports discrepancies. Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies and computes inventory balance, price, and cost. Prepares reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages. Assists with stocking and shipping/receiving functions, as required. Responsible for picking and packing parts needed for replenishments at sites and customer orders. Needs to be available for on-call 24-hour coverage during weekdays and weekends when required.
Duties/Responsibilities

- Completes physical receipt of material and machines.
- Processes all receiving documentation and ensures all required logs and documents are timely done, complete and correctly done.
- Maintains required receiving logs/files and distributes receiving documentation as required.
- Packages material shipments as appropriate and prepares machines for carrier pickup.
- Selects appropriate carriers and completes all required shipping documentation and logs.
- Maintains required shipping logs/files and distributes shipping documentation as required.
- Works closely with all groups involved to coordinate error free system deliveries.
- Receives records and processes Emergency and RUSH order requests. Provides feedback to site on E.O. shipping actions.
- Picks and prepares regular site replenishment orders.
- Maintains storage areas in a clean, orderly manner by completing all required “housekeeping” functions.
- Relocates stored material as necessary to maintain efficient spacing orderly stocking of material.
- Provides counting and administrative support as necessary to the Cycle Count and Physical Inventory Processes.
- Maintains security control of the stockroom areas.
- Operates forklift and pallet jacks to move various materials throughout the warehouses, shipping and receiving areas.
- Completes system inquiries of computerized database as required.
- Completes supervised, routine shipping and receiving transactions.
- Schedules and administers the weekly site replenishment process.
- Monitors E.O./RUSH order activity, expedites fulfillment and escalates problems as appropriate.
- Provides support and supervision to site locations for parts room set-up and initial parts receipts
- Completes all inventory related system transaction activities for the Service Management System.
- Completes assigned “maintenance” actions for the SAP system.
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Experience with utilizing computerized databases to manage various aspects of inventory process.
- Knowledge of inventory management procedures including the establishment of stocking and reorder points, inventory control, and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Familiarity with computerized inventory management systems.
- Ability to manage many details while maintaining accuracy of work. Highly dependable.
- Must always conduct oneself in a professional manner.
- Utilizes sound judgment in dealing with business information.
- Generates enthusiasm and support of company objectives.
- Establishes and displays excellent work habits to include, but not limited to attendance, dress, information generation and company asset usage.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Management of resources, projects, and priorities for self and others in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to make recommendations for continuous quality improvements in all areas of accountability.
- Flexibility to work long hours as necessary.
- Ability to operate fork-lift truck (will train).
Required Education and Experience

High school diploma.
-
Two years’ experience with inventory management, warehousing, shipping/receiving or related field service experience preferred.
