Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination Specialist

Summary:
The Supply Chain and Inventory Specialist is crucial in managing and optimizing logistics operations, focusing on sales order processing, inventory control, and coordination of logistics activities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate conversion of sales orders into delivery notes and transfer orders, effective serial number assignment, and proactive management of inventory and material shortages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Order Processing and Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with the Order Management, Planning Management team, and Inventory Analyst within Logistics to ensure efficient processing of sales orders.
- Edit and convert sales orders into delivery notes and transfer orders, ensuring accurate prioritization and timely execution.
- Plan transportation and create forwarding orders, coordinating packing priorities and ensuring all parts are accurately dispatched to service warehouses or customers.
- Serial Number Management
- Inventory Management and Audit Support:
- Assist in creating inventory documents and scheduling counts for all stocks, either at the main site or service warehouses.
- Monitor inventory counts from initiation through completion, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation.
- Support the Inventory Control Specialist in managing and reconciling discrepancies during monthly cycle counts and annual audits.
- Material Shortage and Order Fulfillment:
- Manage and address material shortages by reviewing open requisitions and purchase orders
- Utilize tools like Warehouse Activity Monitor and Sales Order Monitor to track and expedite materials through Quality Control and into delivery.
- Communicate with Procurement, Logistics, Order Management, and Service personnel to resolve delays and ensure seamless order fulfillment.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Proficient in SAP Module MM/WM
- Strong ability to coordinate and manage complex logistics operations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical and Environmental Demands (required in peak times):
- May involve lifting of equipment up to 60 lbs.
- Exposure to warehouse environments with variable noise and temperature levels.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required; further education or certifications in logistics/supply chain management preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related logistics field.
