Summary

You, as Head of Digital 2, are responsible for leading a team of Software Engineers and Architects who work in agile cross-functional Scrum teams. You are an integral part of the Digital Systems management team, responsible for a number of digital products, spanning our sites in India and Germany. These products enable banknote processing systems, manage cash logistics in a cash center inbound, outbound and in transit, manage the transportation and delivery of cash, and provide monitoring and analytics solutions for our customers to optimize the efficiency and security of the entire cash cycle. Two of our leading products are Compass Cash Center and Compass Transport, which are used by banks and cash-in-transit businesses globally. This role requires a hands-on leader who will mentor the team , spearhead software engineering and technology initiatives and support our product teams as a servant leader.

Key Responsibilities


•    Lead, mentor and develop a team of Software Engineers and Architects, embedded into cross-functional agile Scrum teams, and contribute to form high-performing teams.
•    Manage team capacity, resource allocation and project assignments, including external partners.
•    Collaborate closely with other engineering leaders to continuously raise our software engineering excellence and efficiency, and to foster best practices and standards across our whole software organization.
•    Contribute to the software engineering roadmap, take responsibility, drive and execute improvement as well as technology initiatives, also beyond your scope of responsibility within the software organization.
•    Shape a culture of ownership and self-organization, end-to-end thinking, built-in quality, security by design and by default, and a culture where errors are learning opportunities.
•    Ensure the team adherence to all defined quality standards and testing processes.

Job Specifications

Qualification
B. Tech or Bachelor’s in computer science or any other relevant field (Required)
M. Tech or Master’s in computer sicneicne or any other relevant field (Preferred)

Years of Experience  

15+ years of proven experience as a software engineer, software architect and team lead.

Required Skills

•    Hands-on experience with enterprise desktop, web and cloud applications using Java stack,  .NET stack, and various database systems
•    Familiarity with on-prem infrastructure, containerization, and Azure Cloud
•    Knowledge of CI/CD, test automation, security practices, secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), and quality assurance
•    Expertise in managing end-to-end software development projects, including sustaining engineering
•    Expertise in effort estimations, resource planning, and skill matrix development
•    Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on scalability and performance optimization
•    Proven ability to manage complex team dynamics and drive employee engagement.
•    Experience working within an Agile environment, supporting Scrum Masters and development teams
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in an intercultural environment
•    Ability to drive organizational change and foster a high-performance culture
•    Strong people management skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and professional growth. Be on eye level with your team and be a reliable partner.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
