IT Specialist - Monitoring

As an IT Specialist – Monitoring, you will provide technical expertise in the area of Monitoring. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that the established processes to meet the regulatory and G&D corporate security requirements are respected and optimized, in a fast-paced and critical environment. You develop the strategy and ensure the operation, and integration into the infrastructure services and interact with the business to ensure a maximum of usability.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Designing and Implementing Monitoring Solutions:
Architecting monitoring configurations in a scalable and secure manner, leveraging automation - Analyzing Monitoring Requirements:
Understanding and translating client needs into actionable monitoring strategies. - Proposing and Implementing Solutions:
Offering and deploying solutions that address identified monitoring gaps and requirements. - Developing Monitoring Frameworks:
Creating standardized frameworks for various monitoring aspects, such as application performance monitoring. - Reducing Alert Volume and Improving Alerting:
Focusing on reducing false positives and improving the clarity of alerts, making them more actionable. - Alert Correlation and Compression:
Identifying and grouping related alerts to provide a more comprehensive view of system issues. - Monitoring Tool Administration:
Managing and maintaining monitoring tools, ensuring they are configured and performing optimally.
Skills:
- Monitoring Tools: Icinga, Nagios, Zabbix, ManageEngine etc.
- Technical Expertise: Linux administration, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Rest API, PHP library, MySQL dB
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.
- Automation: Shell scripting, PowerShell, Python
- Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP, and their monitoring capabilities.
- IT Infrastructure: Good understanding of alert management and logs for IT systems – servers, storage, network, database etc.
- Ticketing Tools: Strong experience on integration with ticketing tools like ServiceNow, etc.
- Security: Awareness of security best practices for monitoring systems.
