Senior Manager - Software Platform
Location: Gurugram, India
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Leader to build and lead a high-performing software development and sustaining engineering with 100+ team size working in a Global Engineering set up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, lead and mentor a dynamic team in software development, integration, verification, quality assurance and security to ensure project deliveries with quality through good collaboration and high engagement.
- Build an integrated, skilled and flexible team across sites in Germany and India.
- Strategize to build a strong team through strong people management and enhance team efficiency and career pathing to grow.
- Foster a strong team culture of innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Drive organizational change and transformation initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure effective communication across teams and senior leadership, aligning team goals with overall company objectives.
- Report functionally to the Global Head of Software Development in Germany
Must Have:
- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
- Expertise in managing end to end software development projects including sustaining engineering.
- A deep understanding of modern enterprise class software technologies and practices for on-Prem and Cloud solutions.
- Expertise of partner management, effort estimations, resource planning, skill matrix etc.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on scalability and performance optimization.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor/Master in Engineering Degree (Computer Science)
- 18+ years of experience in leading large-scale teams in a software development for large projects.
- Proven ability to manage complex team dynamics and drive employee engagement.
- Experience in working within an Agile environment, supporting Scrum Masters and development teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in an intercultural environment.
- Ability to drive organizational change and foster a high-performance culture.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and professional growth.
Technical knowhow
- Enterprise Web/Cloud Applications based on Java stack, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, Blazor, .NET and other technologies and various database systems
- OnPrem, Containerization, Azure Cloud
- Testautomation, Security and Secure Software Development Lifecycle, Quality Assurance
