Job Description – Senior Software Developer (C#)

Position : Senior Developer C#.NET for High-Speed Banknote Processing Systems

Location : Gurugram, India

Summary

The C#/.NET developer we are looking for will develop software for our banknote processing systems with the help of our application platform. The specific tasks include refinement of user stories, independent implementation of user stories, development of unit and integration tests, independent execution of developer tests on the machines. You will work in a cross-site scrum team with colleagues located in India and Germany. Note, due to the international working environment, very good English language skills are essential.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Development of application software for our banknote processing systems
  • Playing an active, responsible, self-organized developer role in a cross-site agile scrum team in a scaled environment
  • Driving software design, implementation and testing with high quality that the team achieves its goals
  • Ensuring the evolution of our software platform across teams and products
  • Contributing to continuous application modernization
  • Developing "software you can touch" as part of a cross-functional team

 

Required Skills:

  • At least Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Several years (6+) of experience with C# and .NET and other related development frameworks
  • Strong Background in automated Unit- and Integration Testing
  • Experience with GIT, Visual Studio, GitHub Copilot, Azure DevOps, Azure Boards
  • Ideally experience with Relational Database Systems, ideally Oracle DB
  • Ideally experience with multithreading and messaging architectures and frameworks
  • Passionate about IT and software development and enjoy solving complex problems
  • New challenges excite you, and you can quickly familiarize yourself with complex tasks
  • Very good English skills, both written and verbal.
