IT Specialist - Datacenter Services
As IT Specialist – Datacenter Services, you have to provide high-level technical expertise in the area of Windows & Virtualization administration. This individual would be responsible for implementing & enabling IT strategies defined by senior management in order to achieve the organizational objectives. Assisting various peers to timely complete their projects, govern IT solutions. Further, this individual would be responsible to ensure that the established processes to meet the regulatory and G&D corporate security requirements are respected and optimized, in a fast paced and critical environment. You need to develop the strategy and ensure the operation, integration into the infrastructure services and interact with the business to ensure a maximum of usability.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Ownership and leadership of technical resolution for high severity production environment.
- Team management (managing shifts, coordination with various stakeholders for task achievement, mentoring team, etc)
- Ensure availability of the systems is 100% and all security & compliance related topics are addressed.
- Should possess good analytical & troubleshooting skills and be able to collaborate with other teams to fix issues.
- Able to do effectively consult with end-users/Stakeholders, understand the issue/requirement and suggest solution.
- Deep understanding of VMware architecture comprising of Cluster, ESXI and VMs. Scale out new VMs and delete existing VMs as per Business requirement.
- Configuring and monitoring clusters in vCenter for any issues.
- Capacity management of Windows Servers and Datastores in VMware environment
- Hands-on experience in Active directory User & Computers, Group Policy and Distributed File System (DFS).
- Experience in handling upgrade/migration activities in VMware and windows OS.
- Should have strong experience in managing Citrix environment and understanding of Citrix VDI solution.
- Should have installed, administered & managed the following components:
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Provisioning Services 7.x
- Citrix ADC/Netscaler
- Citrix Storefront
- Citrix Profilemanagement
- Windows Server 2016
- Experience in Software patching and WSUS patch solutions.
- Knowledge in MS-SQL, SQL reporting services
- Candidate need to be having strong knowledge and understanding of Scripting languages (PowerShell, VBS, Batch)
- Perform daily health checks of production environment, analyze open alarms/events & further troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues in production environment.
- Ensure backup configuration is adequately configured.
- Knowledge on ITSM processes and able to work with ServiceNow Tool.
Education & Trainings + Certifications:
- University Degree and Certifications in the technology related field.
- Training & Certification in Citrix/Virtualization/Windows administration and management.
- ITIL Certifications
Technical know-how: Mandatory
- Should have technical knowledge on following:
- Active Directory & Group Policies
- VMWare 6.5, 7.x
- XenServer 7.x, 8.x
- Windows Server 2016 & 2019 Administration
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and ProvisioningServices 7.x
- Citrix ADC/Netscaler
- PowerShell
Soft Skills:
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.

- Generate enthusiasm and support of company objectives.
- Effective written and oral communication skills (English)
- Flexible to travel as well as work with other G&D subsidiaries
- Demonstrate good conduct, regular attendance, proper dress code and information generation.
