Portfolio and Business Development Manager for Digital Solutions (m/w/d)

Area of Responsibility

CTCS Business Line Digital Solutions (BLDS) is looking for a Portfolio & Business Development Manager to anticipate growth opportunities for G+D in the ever-evolving digital market, and drive these opportunities to realisation.

The existing BLDS portfolio includes a range of software solutions used by many customers across the globe. Managed from three primary locations – Munich, Toronto and Amsterdam – the BLDS Product team includes Product Owners and Technical Product Owners who are responsible for the strategy, roadmap and backlog of the individual products.

The Portfolio & Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities for business growth, and driving these to realisation alongside Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Owners and others. This could involve the designing of business models, production of business cases, identification and collaboration with partners, and other diverse activities.

This is an exciting opportunity involving a high level of responsibility and autonomy, and a key influence on BLDS strategy.

The Portfolio & Business Development Manager will report to the Head of Product Management.

 

Main Tasks

  • Gaining a deep understanding of the Digital Solutions market – size, requirements, direction, geography – across all customer segments (Central Bank, Commercial Bank, CIT, Casino, Printworks)
  • Identifying opportunities to react to, and proactively anticipate, market demand and grow the BLDS business – through product development, different commercial models, different operating models etc.
  • Working with the CTCS Portfolio team to drive wider CTCS Portfolio strategy
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to drive business growth opportunities – including the involvement in, and/or coordination of, high level and detailed analysis, technical design, operating model design
  • Creating business cases to assess these opportunities – clearly analysing options and presenting benefits, costs, risks etc.
  • Designing commercial models for business growth opportunities
  • Identifying potential partners required for business growth opportunities
  • Managing a diverse range of stakeholders – Product Owners, CTCS Portfolio, Pre-Sales, Region Sales, Marketing, other CTCS Business Lines, Senior Management

Job Requirements

  • Experience in software/digitalisation (from a business perspective, not necessarily from a technical perspective)
  • Experience in portfolio management and/or product development and/or business development
  • Experience in creating business cases
  • Experience in market analysis
  • Experience in designing commercial models
  • Experience in designing operating models
  • Management of diverse stakeholders, sometimes with conflicting interests
  • Comfortable working in a complex, changing environment
  • Experience working in a global team
  • Ability to present in a clear, confident, structured manner to diverse (culture and seniority) audiences
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently organise tasks and actions in a matrix organisation
