Senior Business Development Manager

Goals and Mission

  • Achieve individual targets €1.5 - €2.2m whilst working towards the company’s target of €11.2m
  • Identify sales leads, pitch product, services and software solutions to new and existing customers and maintain/build a good working relationship with new and existing customers
  • Communicate new product, service and software developments to prospective and existing customers
  • Provide market feedback on required product, services and software solutions which need developing

 

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

  • Drive profitable growth across agreed products, services and software solutions in agreed market segments and customers
  • Build and establish long term relationship with exciting and new customer/partners/organization
  • Manage monthly and quarterly forecasting for following month/quarter, order intake and revenue recognition ensuring forecasts are achieved
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective customers 6-10 appointments per week remotely (Video) and face- face
  • Generate leads and cold calling/contacting prospective customers
  • Maintaining a positive attitude that inspires co-workers and customers to grow profitable business
  • Provide accurate Costing Sheets for all major products ensuring minimum profit margins are achieved.
  • Contract and Legal negotiation involvement/managed per customer project
  • Monitor Sales performance and keep track of achievement against requirements and business targets Salesforce.
  • Ensure individual Sales Dashboard is updated weekly
  • Manage internal and external customers to enable accurate records of Trial and Demonstration Stock.
  • Provide input into the quarterly internal and external newsletters and customer communication
  • Ensure a trial critical, ROI model is agreed before any trail commences
  • Maintenance Contract Renewals need to be agreed or negotiated 3 months before contract end date.
  • Obsolescence planning and product replacement updates to market and customers
  • Provide marketing recommendations
  • Upgrades and expired warranty customers to be proactively managed
  • Customers queries to be managed and responded to in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with Finance Department regarding outstanding debt figures, address queries in order to obtain payment.  Liaise with Sales Team Admin on this subject when required.
  • Provide support to Sales Team in respect of exhibitions.
  • Ensure Sales Team are educated on best practices and techniques for increasing Sales
  • Work with Sales Team and external contacts to maximise marketing activity.
  • Provide reports as requested by your Line Manager/ Key Contact.
  • Supporting Marketing for Exhibitions, promotional materials, video content
  • Ensure customer visit are entered and updated on Salesforce.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of all products' features and benefits, service and software solutions.

 

Professional Experience and Capabilities

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role relating to Retail or the Finance sector
  • Market knowledge
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Time management and planning skills
  • 10 years of professional experience
