Automation Operator Riyadh, KSA
Objectives:
-
The Automation Operator is responsible for the operation and monitoring of automated systems, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), palletizing robots, six-axis robots, ASRS systems, conveyor systems, and various sub-machines. He will ensure the efficient and safe operation of these systems, promptly respond to alarms or issues, and coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams as needed.
Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor automated production line equipment, including AGVs, robots, ASRS systems, conveyor systems, and other sub-machines including but not limited to: paper destruction, suctioning, and compacting solutions.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure the safe and efficient operation of automation systems.

Monitor equipment status and performance indicators, promptly responding to alarms or abnormal conditions.

Report any equipment malfunctions or abnormalities to the Automation Manager or maintenance team.

Assist in equipment changeovers, setups, and adjustments as directed by the Automation Manager or engineering team.

Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to schedule and execute preventive maintenance activities.

Perform basic troubleshooting and problem-solving to address minor issues or faults in automation equipment.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards during equipment operation.

Maintain accurate logs and records of equipment operation, including any downtime or issues.

Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the automation production area.

Participate in training programs and stay updated on equipment operation procedures and safety protocols.

Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and minimize disruptions.
Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
