Objectives:

  • The Automation Operator is responsible for the operation and monitoring of automated systems, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), palletizing robots, six-axis robots, ASRS systems, conveyor systems, and various sub-machines. He will ensure the efficient and safe operation of these systems, promptly respond to alarms or issues, and coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor automated production line equipment, including AGVs, robots, ASRS systems, conveyor systems, and other sub-machines including but not limited to: paper destruction, suctioning, and compacting solutions.

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure the safe and efficient operation of automation systems.

  • Monitor equipment status and performance indicators, promptly responding to alarms or abnormal conditions.

  • Report any equipment malfunctions or abnormalities to the Automation Manager or maintenance team.

  • Assist in equipment changeovers, setups, and adjustments as directed by the Automation Manager or engineering team.

  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to schedule and execute preventive maintenance activities.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and problem-solving to address minor issues or faults in automation equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards during equipment operation.

  • Maintain accurate logs and records of equipment operation, including any downtime or issues.

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the automation production area.

  • Participate in training programs and stay updated on equipment operation procedures and safety protocols.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and minimize disruptions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or automation operation role.

  • Familiarity with automation equipment and systems.

  • Basic troubleshooting skills for identifying and addressing equipment issues.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and automation systems.
