JOB SUMMARY
As the Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, manage packaging and documentation, and uphold strict compliance with security and quality standards for high-value products. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, contributing to a process in which accuracy and speed matter equally.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Execute shipping and receiving activities including picking, labeling, and packaging secure orders; preparing and scheduling outbound shipments using customer-specific routing guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
- Ensure accurate shipping documentation by preparing shipping list files and generating shipping labels in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory through supporting material issuance, returns, and physical inventory; tracking movement and reconciling counts using internal systems.
- Use hand trucks to load and move inventory and properly stage materials and pallets.
- Utilize enterprise systems to enter data and process transactions using our warehouse management and production tracking systems.
- Follow all safety, security, and quality procedures.
- Adhere to compliance and protocols related to packaging, labeling, and shipping of secure materials.
- Keep work areas organized and clean.
- Collaborate with team members to support changing priorities and customer timelines and assist with other duties as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in shipping/receiving in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Prior experience issuing material, sheet destruction and vault issuance of materials.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and teamwork mentality.
- Understanding and willingness to follow safety and quality control procedures.
- Willingness to work at least 40 hours per week plus occasional overtime as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Strong planning, organizational and counting skills along with flexibility and the ability to make decisions.
- Willingness to take part in our background check and drug test process
- Ability to lift up to 20 pound boxes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Requires sitting at a desk in front of a computer screen for 8 or more hours per day.
- Requires visual acuity to operate a computer, read a computer screen, read policies and manuals.
- Requires manual dexterity to operate a computer, phone, fax, scanner.
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour and is eligible for an annual bonus.
