JOB SUMMARY

The Vault Lead works at our secure facility in Bolingbrook, IL on 3rd shift working Monday - Friday 10:00pm - 6:00am and is responsible for leading the Vault Team at their respective facilities during their respective shift. The Vault Lead ensures that the Vault team efficiently tracks secure card manufacturing jobs to meet specifications of our clients and issuers while following PCI.  The Vault Lead will ensure that the Vault Team Members examine, verify, audit and ship the amount of material entering and exiting each department in order to account for all secure cards manufactured.

 

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Lead and manage the Vault team; provide performance coaching and feedback, and address disciplinary issues as needed.
  • Ensure all vault team members are on time, present and trained appropriately.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the Vault Team at our plastic card manufacturing facilities. Communicate with other Vault Lead’s on other shifts.
  • Ensure that Vault team establishes and maintains an audit trail, per PCI, for every secure card-manufacturing job. Ensure that team verifies the amount of material for each job entering into each department at each manufacturing step.
  • Compile and verify the amount of spoiled, rejected or set up material for each job used in each step of the manufacturing process. Verifies the destruction of the rejected material and maintains documentation, per PCI.
  • Maintain inventory documentation for completed cards waiting for shipment, per PCI.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed in regards to the PCI audit. Assists the Security Team to ensure that the audit is implemented and followed.
  • Follows work instructions for the audit process and security procedures.
  • Enter and create the necessary information into Valid’s systems.
  • Verify all returned cards by card number and job number including rejects. Reconcile all card stock issued and balance rejects and returns, per PCI.
  • Maintain daily reports and recordkeeping as required in PCI for audit requirements. Ensures required documentation/data is completed accurately and timely.
  • Understand the entire range of functions as well as the operating sequence of the auditing equipment.
  • Work cooperatively with the Quality Assurance department to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Adhere to ISO and CQM standards
  • Participates in on-going training opportunities and supports a continuous quality improvement environment.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leaders at the plants.
  • Take immediate action to correct safety and security issues.   
  • Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED required. Some college education is a plus.
  • Previous experience managing inventory, scrap, and overall auditing for a manufacturing facility is strongly preferred.
  • At least 2 years working in the manufacturing industry with understanding of overall manufacturing operations.
  • Previous experience leading or managing teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to keep detailed and accurate records.
  • Must possess high standards of personal integrity. Able to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently with a high attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when needed.

 

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Experience in the plastic card industry
  • Knowledge of PCI standards

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to observe production machinery.  Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.  Requires normal color perception.
  • Requires working on hard floor – standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting and stooping on occasion.
  • Must be able to withstand loud noise in a manufacturing environment.
