Production Support Leader

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Production Support Leader is responsible for overseeing end-to-end Production Support operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards, and driving/aligning the warehouse to the Operational business strategy. 

The key responsibilities of the position are as follows, but not limited to:

Operational Leadership

• Lead daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards across all warehouse functions.

Process Optimization

• Implement lean practices and process improvements to maximize throughput and minimize waste.
• Standardize workflows and establish clear performance metrics for warehouse teams.

Team Management

• Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse staff to foster accountability and high performance.
• Allocate resources effectively across shifts to meet production and delivery targets.

Inventory & Systems Control

• Maintain accurate stock levels through precision counting, audits, and system reconciliations.
• Oversee the use of warehouse management systems (Sage) and ensure data integrity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with operations, logistics, and quality teams to align warehouse activities with broader business goals.
• Support customer requirements by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Champion innovation and best practices in warehouse operations.

Environmental, Health and Safety

• Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving abilities to support efficient, accurate, and reliable warehouse and production support operations.
• To also ensure that their job goals are completed by striving for Quality, Trust and Security at all times.

MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management or similar.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 

• 3 to 5 years proven experience in warehouse or operational leadership.
• 2 to 4 years' experience in warehouse leadership (must).
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and warehouse systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
