Compensation: $95,000 - 115,000 plus up to 5% bonus, capped at 150%
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Regional Category Procurement Specialist - Films to lead the development and execution of the regional Films category strategy, ensuring competitive supply solutions, supplier innovation, risk mitigation, and sustainable value creation across the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supplier relationship management, supplier performance monitoring, procurement reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Product Management, Supply Chain, Operations, and R&D teams.
This role requires a self-driven professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment and has strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with regional film suppliers.
- Develop and execute category strategy implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and total cost of ownership initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance through defined KPIs and performance scorecards.
- Track supplier issues, coordinate corrective actions, and follow up on resolution plans.
- Prepare and maintain supplier performance reports and dashboards.
- Ability to leverage procurement analytics to support strategic decision-making (SAP, PowerBI, etc).
- Collaborate closely with Quality, Product Management, Supply Chain, Operations, and R&D teams.
- Monitor market developments, raw material trends, and supplier innovations.
Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements
Work Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or Supplier Management.
- Proven experience in supplier performance management and KPI development.
- Hands-on experience extracting and analyzing procurement data from SAP.
- Experience preparing management reports and executive presentations.
- Experience in packaging, films, polymers, plastics, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience with supplier scorecards and procurement analytics.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Knowledge of SAP procurement modules (MM, Purchasing, Vendor Management).
- Ability to work independently in a global and matrix organization.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent English is required.
- Spanish is highly valued.
- Availability to travel regularly.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
