SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) Business Process Consultant

Compensation: $95,000 - 115,000 plus up to 5% bonus, capped at 150%

 

Job Summary


We are looking for an experienced OTC Process Consultant to drive the design, optimization, and implementation of end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes within SAP environments. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to translate business requirements into efficient system solutions, ensuring high process quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will act as a key interface between business and IT, contributing to digital transformation initiatives and enhancing overall process performance.


Primary Responsibilities

  • You act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and take end-to-end ownership for the design, validation, and continuous improvement of business requirements
  • You serve as a sparring partner for key business representatives across the 7 G+D divisions
  • Together with Global Process Excellence and IT, you design and optimize Order-to-Cash processes (especially Customer Order Management), using agile methodologies and translating business needs into epics, features, and user stories
  • You drive and enable the global key user community, ensuring effective knowledge sharing and continuous capability building
  • You contribute to rollouts and improvement projects (e.g., conduct fit/gap sessions, support the development of test cases, prepare test requirements, unit testing, supporting end users, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Vertex solutions and indirect tax requirements in the United States and Canada is highly desirable. Experience supporting tax determination, compliance, reporting, and SAP integrations within a Vertex landscape is an advantage.
  • You support export control and international trade compliance requirements (e.g. sanctions, embargoes, dual-use goods, customs regulations) within OTC processes and system landscapes

 

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), integration testing, and documentation of test results
  • Create and maintain functional documentation, process flows, and training materials
  • Deliver training sessions and provide guidance to key users and business teams
  • Participate in data migration, data validation, and master data governance activities
  • Contribute to global template design and governance frameworks

 

Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements


Work Experience:

  • More than 10 years of experience in Order-to-Cash / Customer Demand Management, ideally complemented by technical expertise
  • Several years of professional experience in SAP process management
  • Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA
  • Experience in project management and agile delivery approaches; willingness to take ownership and lead initiatives

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven consulting background with strong experience in designing and implementing Customer Demand / OTC solutions in complex organizations
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex processes, identify improvement opportunities, and derive data-driven recommendations
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable IT solutions
  • Good understanding of integrated SAP processes, data structures, and system landscapes
  • Excellent communication skills; fluent in English, proficiency in additional languages is a plus
  • Self-driven, structured, and proactive working style with a collaborative mindset
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant SAP module, particularly SD
  • Strong analytical skills as well as a structured and self-reliant working style
  • High level of communication and teamwork skills, with experience collaborating in interdisciplinary and international teams
  • Intercultural competence
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills in Spanish are highly valued

Education:

  • Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
