Compensation: $95,000 - 115,000 plus up to 5% bonus, capped at 150%
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Process Consultant SAP SCM - Plan-to-Produce to serve as the interface between central functions and the local production sites. The role combines the design, optimization, and implementation of end-to-end SAP-supported processes with hands-on operational support for the plants and its business departments.
The position ensures that global standards, governance requirements, and project deliverables are translated into effective local solutions. At the same time, it captures local requirements, operational pain points, and improvement opportunities and feeds them into sustainable process and system enhancements.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, local point of contact, and knowledge owner for Production, Supply Chain, Logistics and related functions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve end-to-end Plan-to-Produce processes within the SAP environment.
- Translate business requirements into effective, scalable SAP process solutions in close cooperation with business stakeholders and IT.
- Act as the key interface between Group or central process functions and the local production site.
- Support global and local projects, including SAP rollouts, process harmonization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to fit-gap assessments, requirements definition, test preparation, unit testing, user acceptance testing, integration testing, and test documentation.
- Provide day-to-day guidance for data and material flows related to procurement, production, and sales and distribution.
- Analyze process errors, troubleshoot operational issues, and perform root-cause analysis together with business users.
- Partner with department managers and key users to understand functional needs, operational pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Support the development and stabilization of planning, master data, and material flow processes in the manufacturing environment.
- Drive alignment with global process owners, regional SAP experts, and local stakeholders to ensure consistent standards and effective implementation.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Create and maintain functional documentation, standard operating procedures, process flows, and training materials.
- Deliver training sessions and provide guidance to key users and end users.
- Support data migration, data validation, and master data governance activities where required.
- Prepare or support KPI reporting, monthly reports, and ad-hoc analyses using SAP and related reporting tools.
- Contribute to global templates, governance structures, and standardization initiatives.
- Continuously expand SAP and business process expertise across functions and sites.
Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements
Work Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in production, procurement and sales and distribution within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Several years of professional experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA in relevant modules such as PS, PP, MM, and SD is highly valued.
- Experience in process consulting, project delivery, testing, and continuous improvement activities in complex organizations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong consulting and process management background with the ability to combine strategic process thinking with practical site-level execution.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate complex process issues and derive data-driven recommendations.
- Good understanding of integrated SAP processes including material flows, master data, reporting needs, and system landscapes.
- Ability to act as a contact person and knowledge owner for multiple departments within a production plant.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills in interdisciplinary and international environments.
- Self-driven, structured, and proactive working style, with a clear sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong Excel and reporting skills are an advantage.
- Fluent in English; additional languages as a plus (Spanish, German)
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
Working Conditions
- Close interaction with manufacturing and production-related functions.
- Limited travel may be required.
- Flexibility regarding working hours may be necessary depending on site operations and project phases.
- Site-specific safety requirements apply when working in production areas.
