ABOUT THE ROLE
We are on the lookout for a visionary Procurement Specialist with a strong background in procurement management and strategic sourcing within the industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of transforming procurement processes and driving operational excellence.
In this pivotal role, you will utilise your expertise in ERP systems, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management to enhance our procurement strategies. You will guide our purchasing operations and ensure alignment with global standards, playing a key role in driving G+D toward achieving strategic objectives and substantial growth in the Australian market. With one direct report, you will leverage your procurement expertise to enhance our supply chain and contribute to our legacy of innovation and quality.

What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll take on a range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
- Oversee daily Purchasing Department operations and mentor team to maintain corporate standards.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, focusing on securing best buy prices and ensuring compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Manage the entire procurement cycle for both stock and non-stock requirements, ensuring timely placement and fulfillment of purchase orders as directed by the Planning and Customer Service departments.
- Work cross-departmentally to join procurement with overall business goals, ensuring a seamless operational flow
- Assist in preparing pricing requests for tenders, quotations, and proposals, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing.
- Manage purchasing projects and coordinate new product development with suppliers, including overseeing product design, development, and the implementation of procedures to control artwork, revisions, and digital proofs.
About you:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement within a relevant industry.
- Strong skills in contract negotiation and management.
- Proficient with ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
- Demonstrated ability in managing inventory and understanding purchasing processes.
- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent time management skills and detail-oriented approach.
- Good time management, planning and organising ability.
- Highly detailed conscious.
- Analytical approach with good research skills and ability.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve problems in a practical, timely, and professional manner by developing and implementing effective solutions.
- Ability to identify customer needs and respond accordingly.
