Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (AI Platform & CI/CD)

Job Summary

Giesecke+Devrient is a globally leading SecurityTech company. We are seeking a highly technical and execution-focused Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join G+D’s new AI Hub.

The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in cloud architecture, DevOps, CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, platform engineering, and secure enterprise deployment pipelines with the ability to design and implement scalable cloud foundations for AI and software delivery.

This role is responsible for establishing the reference architecture, cloud landing zones, repository structures, release pipelines, environment management, and CI/CD automation frameworks required to support enterprise-scale AI and software engineering workflows.

Primary Responsibilities

Cloud Platform Architecture

• Define and prototype the reference cloud architecture for the AI Hub across Azure and/or AWS
• Establish environment separation, and deployment standards
• Implement Responsible AI and AI Governance observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting standards

CI/CD & Release Engineering

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and release automation frameworks
• Build automated pipelines for build, test, security scanning, packaging, and deployment
• Establish release gates, approval workflows, rollback patterns, and versioning standards
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements

Work Experience: 

• Eight (8)+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or software infrastructure
• Five (5)+ years of experience designing CI/CD and release automation pipelines

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong expertise in Azure and/or AWS cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, infrastructure as code, cloud security, and observability
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions / Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, IAM / RBAC
• Strong Python and/or Bash scripting skills for infrastructure automation
• Comfortable with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and specification-first engineering environments is an asset

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related field preferred
