Senior IT Application Consultant SAP DMS/PLM (m/w/d)

We are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/f/d) with extensive experience in SAP DMS and PLM for the global Giesecke+Devrient Group. This position offers the opportunity to join the Regional Center Spain and collaborate with an international team of SAP process and application experts. You will play a key role in expanding our SAP team, strengthening relationships with business users, supporting daily operations, and delivering innovative solutions in document management and product lifecycle. In addition to handling user requests, you will participate in SAP projects and rollouts on a global scale. Flexibility and adaptability are essential in our dynamic environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide technical consultancy in the fields of Document Management System (DMS) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions in SAP
• Configure, customize and troubleshoot PLM add-on solutions for document lifecycle management and content server integration
• Design and optimize SAP DMS workflows, approval processes, digital signature integration, and document search/indexing functionality
• Resolve  file conversion issues ( Seal/CIDEON Conversion Solution )
• Perform daily system monitoring (SM13, SM58) and proactively resolve update terminations, iDoc errors, and interface issues
• Implement IT work packages in projects and provide technical concepts and documentation
• Develop, customize and provide  3rd level support for PLM, SAP DMS, Material Master, and file conversion solutions

Your Profile

• 5+ years of professional experience as technical consultant in the area of Document Management System and in the field of PLM solutions
• Deep expertise in Pronovia/ProPLMClient configuration, customizing, and troubleshooting (content server connectivity, document workflows, PDF generation)
• Profound knowledge of the SAP Document Management System (DMS), including document approval workflows, version management, office integration, and content repository architecture
• Solid understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes in SAP, including Change Management (ECM/ECN), Bill of Materials (BOM), Material Master, and Classification
• Capable to debug ABAP programs and resolve technical errors, dumps, and custom transaction issues
• SolMan previous experience for incident management, change control, and system monitoring
• Proficient in English (both written and spoken), German is a plus
• Ready for international travel (< 5%), and to work in international teams
