About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Product Compliance Manager to lead and coordinate product compliance activities across our entire portfolio of hardware, software, and services. In this role, you will ensure that our products meet applicable regulatory, legal, and market requirements in Europe and internationally.You will act as the central point of contact for product compliance matters, working closely with Engineering, Quality Management, Product Management, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all product compliance and CE-related activities across the company.
- Ensure compliance with applicable international regulations and standards.
- Coordinate conformity assessment processes for hardware products, software products, and combined HW/SW solutions.
- Collaborate closely with all technical disciplines and all global sites to ensure compliance requirements are integrated into product lifecycle.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements and ensure their implementation within the organization.
- Prepare, maintain, and manage Declarations of Conformity.
- Coordinate the creation, maintenance, and review of technical documentation and compliance evidence.
- Support and guide product risk assessments and risk management activities.
- Guide, manage and perform compliance activities related to:
- CE, CRA, UKCA
- RoHS, REACH
- EMC, ATEX, LVD, RED
- Other relevant national and international product regulations
- Monitor regulatory developments, industry standards, and legislative changes, and assess their impact on existing and future products.
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory authorities, certification bodies, customers, and external auditors regarding product compliance matters.
- Support internal audits and continuous improvement of compliance processes and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Software Engineering, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, CE marking, or a comparable role.
- Strong knowledge of European and international product compliance requirements.
- Experience with CE marking processes and conformity assessment procedures.
- Familiarity with regulations such as CRA, UKCA, RoHS, REACH, EMC, and related product legislation.
- Understanding of compliance requirements for both hardware and software products.
- Experience in preparing technical documentation and Declarations of Conformity.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and product safety requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
