IT Technical Coordinator (3 Month Contract)

We are looking for a student or recent graduate to take on a 3 month Technical Coordinator role. The person in this role is responsible for the delivery of the highest level of quality client service, ensuring excellent communications, and follow-up on IT-related initiatives as well as customer projects.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review requests on our Programming Request System (PRS) – Workflow System
  • Coordinate the request above with a designated programmer for quotation, development and implementation
  • Review check list for changes
  • Time recording and reporting od the projects and programmers
  • Communication with Project Management and Relationship Management Group teams for request and schedules
  • Analyze resource availability and schedule all IT resources using the enterprise project / portfolio management tool
  • Gain an in-depth understanding and extensive knowledge of GDMSCI business and IT procedures, together with working knowledge of customer’s business requirements
  • Liaise with other GDMSCI departments to ensure requirements are met to their satisfaction and within service level agreements
  • Coordinate launches for IT non-PMO initiatives
  • Interface with PMO to provide and follow-up on status of IT-related deliverables
  • Ensure programming requirements are tracked based on initial quotes, any deviation or change is identified and properly communicated via appropriate channels such as: Programming Request System (PRS), emails, calls, meetings, etc.; responsible for IT non-PMO launches and programming requirements

 

Secondary Resposibilities:

  • Provide support to Director of Intake & Planning in better managing the team’s commitments
  • Act as Subject Matter experts for a given platform, product, and/or customer
  • Assist in training of new staff
  • Act as a Release Manager during release life cycle process
  • Take on other duties as required to support other functions within IT
  • Comply with G+D Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and report any Environmental, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor

 

Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Excellent command of English language, both written and verbal
  • Proven interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills and intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to review a logistics and scheduling spreadsheet
  • Knowledge of Sciforma
  • Self-motivated team player with ability to interact in a collaborative manner
  • Proven ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize with attention to detail
  • Exposure to Project Management and Project Methodologies
  • SAP knowledge is an asset
  • Administrative skills
  • Willing to learn quickly
