Quality Engineer (m/f/d)

 

 

Veridos Matsoukis S.A., a leading Security Printing Company and proud member of the VERIDOS and G+D Group, is looking for a dynamic Quality Engineer to join our team. 

The role’s mission is to ensure products, materials, and processes consistently meet quality, performance, and compliance requirements with a Key Objective to Prevent defects and improve product performance. 

The person is expected to drive product, material and process quality excellence in manufacturing activities by ensuring  

  • robust performance, effective control of production conditions, and continuous improvement of processes 

  • outputs meet defined standards, compliance requirements, and customer expectations

Reporting to the Operational Quality Manager, your Key Responsibilities tasks include,  but are not limited to the following: 

 

Your Tasks and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Design, develop and continuously improve manufacturing processes and practices to ensure product quality, reliability and cost efficiency.  

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce Cost of Non-Quality (CoNQ), improve product performance and enhance manufacturing effectiveness.  

  • Manage material qualification, performance evaluation, delta qualifications and change validation activities in collaboration with R&D and production teams.  

  • Monitor and optimize critical production parameters, identify process variability and implement actions to ensure stable and consistent quality results.  

  • Support process validation, new product introduction and manufacturing changes to ensure compliance with defined standards, specifications and tolerances.  

  • Analyze production and quality data, identify root causes of issues and lead structured problem-solving activities (e.g., RCA, 8D) and CAPA implementation.  

  • Strengthen in-process quality control systems by improving control plans, inspection methods and quality procedures.  

  • Conduct manufacturing process audits, ensure compliance with standards, and provide guidance and training on quality practices.  

  • Act as Quality Representative in Production Performance Dialogue Meetings, collaborating closely with production, engineering and quality teams.  

  • Office-based across company facilities in Athens, with occasional travel to suppliers, customers or partners as required. 

 

Your Qualifications: 

 

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management, or a related technical field. 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Operations. 

  • Solid knowledge of quality tools, methodologies and concepts, with experience in problem-solving techniques (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, 8D, CAPA). 

  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is considered an advantage. 

  • Good understanding of material behavior, product performance characteristics and manufacturing processes. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze data and drive improvement actions. 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement. 

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, R&D and Quality. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications. 

  • Fluency in Greek and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
