Position Overview: 


As a Zoho Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing Zoho applications to support various internal teams. In this role, you will collaborate closely with IT, Finance, Sales, and Operations to integrate and streamline business processes. You will also ensure data integrity, develop custom workflows, and produce actionable analytics that drive informed decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Zoho Configuration & Customization

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to configure and customize Zoho solutions (CRM, Analytics, Creator, etc.) aligned with business objectives.

    • Develop and manage integrations with third-party applications (e.g., Salesforce, payment gateways, in-house software).

  • Workflow Optimization

    • Identify opportunities to automate and refine workflows using the Zoho suite.

    • Create and update custom functions and workflows (including Deluge scripting) to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

  • Data Integrity & Reporting

    • Ensure accurate data collection across Zoho platforms.

    • Generate dashboards and analytics that provide actionable insights for various departments.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and IT teams to maximize Zoho adoption and functionality in areas such as Books, Inventory, Expense, Invoice, Commerce, and Analytics.

    • Provide training and end-user support to drive effective usage of Zoho applications.

  • System Maintenance & Troubleshooting

    • Oversee ongoing system updates, address performance issues, and manage API integrations.

    • Monitor system stability, troubleshoot errors, and implement improvements to enhance reliability.

  • Other Duties - contribute to special projects and perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Experience: 3+ years’ proven experience designing, configuring, and implementing Zoho-based solutions.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of CRM/ERP workflows, automation, and customizing Zoho Apps (CRM, Books, Inventory, etc.) with integrations.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to convey complex concepts to team members, management, and external customers.

  • Zoho Creator & Analytics: Working familiarity with Zoho Creator and Zoho Analytics is highly desirable.

  • Work Eligibility: Must possess Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a valid work permit.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Certifications in Zoho Apps (Analytics, Books, Inventory, CRM, Commerce).

  • Practical experience creating custom functions with Deluge, workflow rules, CRM, Desk, etc.

  • Retail industry background or experience working with retail workflows.

 

Education:

 

  • Post-Secondary Education: Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Technical Background: Demonstrated systems engineering or equivalent technical experience.

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Hybrid role with a combination of on-site (Richmond Hill office) and remote work.

  • Prolonged periods of computer- and desktop-based tasks.

  • Collaborative, open-concept office environment when on-site.
