Governments and regional authorities worldwide rely on the company's uniquely comprehensive product portfolio. In our innovation department, our multicultural, interdisciplinary team searches for new revolutionary identity solutions and business ideas, validates them with market research, builds and tests prototypes and helps to develop the first minimally viable products for a customer. The team focuses on new technologies such as mobile applications, artificial intelligence, augmented reality and biometrics. We lead EU research projects with a variety of partners including universities, independent research institutions and end customers. In our current EU research project "D4FLY" we investigate new methods to detect document forgery and identity theft and to accelerate identity verification at the border. For this we are looking for one:


Researcher/Software-Developer Innovative Identity Solutions - limited until 31.10.2022


Your responsibility:

  • You will develop and test software to research new concepts for innovative identity verification using modern technologies such as mobile applications, artificial intelligence and biometrics.
  • Together with our partners and the Innovation Team you will develop the required prototypes to test the new concepts.
  • You will present the developments to stakeholders and customers in events, trials and pilot projects.
  • You will document the successes in research reports to the EU Commission.


Your profile:

  • You are enthusiastic about new technologies, creative, unbiased about unusual solutions and look forward to working independently in a multicultural and interdisciplinary team.
  • You have experience in team software development in C#, C++ and/or Python. You feel comfortable working with MS Windows as well as with Linux. Preferably you also have experience in the development of mobile solutions on Android and/or iOS. We would appreciate experience in agile development methods.
  • You enjoy developing hardware and software prototypes in our Makers-Lab.
  • You have a university degree in computer science, physics, mathematics or electrical engineering.
  • Your English (spoken and written) is business fluent. We are an international and diverse team that communicates in English.
