E-Seek, a San Diego based technology company, has patented a unique barcode technology that dramatically improves user identification and driver’s license authentication services.  With the help of our parent company, we are seeking to expand from a leading supplier of ID reading devices to the North America market to the worldwide market.  Our flagship product is at TSA checkpoints in airports across the U.S.  We are primarily a hardware company that manufactures ID readers that our value-added partners integrate into their software solution.

 

Main Duties

  • Design and develop firmware for embedded products.
  • Interfacing with other team members including Hardware and Software Engineers.
  • Supporting factory production including verification of the initial pre-production build.   
  • Interfacing with customers integrating our product into their solution.
  • Develop firmware for the launch of our new passport reader.
  • Assist with maintenance of existing products.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Design and development of firmware and BSP for real time embedded products.
  • Experience with ARM or equivalent microprocessors.
  • Experience with Linux, real time RTOS and/or bare metal systems. 
  • The primary programming language is C/C++
  • Familiarity with debugging tools such as JTAG and oscilloscopes.
  • Experience with embedded communication interfaces such as; USB, MiPi CSI/DSI, I2C, SPI 
  • Able to read schematics and component datasheets.
  • Working in an Engineering team to test and debug the product.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.  

 

Preferred Additional Experience

  • C#, .NET
  • The primary IDE’s used are NXP’s MCUXpresso, STM32Cube and IAR
  • Visual Studio for Windows applications
  • Experience with cameras and image processing
  • RFID
