JOB SUMMARY
The Pick & Pack Lead assists in overseeing the efficient operation of the pick and pack department, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and timely shipment of goods. They are responsible for maintaining high standards of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of pick and pack clerks in absence of the manager, ensuring adherence to company processes and procedures.
- Print work orders at start of shift.
- Print carriers for gift cards and affix gift cards to carriers using glue materials.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to terminals, shipping stations, or packaging equipment; promptly report maintenance issues to the manager.
- Ensure accurate picking of orders according to pick lists, verifying quantity, special instructions, and shipping methods.
- Prepare products for shipment using various carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and USPS, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by matching pick lists, product IDs, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Utilize computer systems to generate shipping labels and process orders efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to coordinate shipments and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations and procedures within the pick and pack department.
- Maintain organized workstations and oversee the assembly of boxes as needed.
- Report any defects or quality issues to the manager.
- Monitor daily production goals, ensuring team members meet or exceed productivity standards as set by the manager.
- Provide training and guidance to team members as needed.
- Perform additional duties in the absence of the pick and pack manager or as assigned by the manager or plant leadership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with RF Scanner technology.
- 2 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or fulfillment.
- 2 years of experience in a Lead position.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Windows-based computer systems with emphasis on EXCEL.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with attention to detail.
- Proactive work attitude with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Strong numerical skills and ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Capacity to lift to 35 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED
- Experience in the plastic card industry.
- Experience using FedEx Ship Manager and UPS shipping software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment. Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Requires normal color perception.
- Requires working on hard floor – standing, sitting, walking, laying, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting and stooping for up to 12 hours per day.
- Requires the ability to lift 35 pounds regularly.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Must be able to adapt to fluctuating temperatures.
- Must be able to withstand loud noise.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 per hour and is eligible for an annual bonus.
