Marketing Communications Associate – Part Time Hourly- 20 hours per week

The Marketing Communications Associate position is part of the Trusted Connectivity Devices Marketing/Offer Management department and supports the global organization with marketing activities and proposal coordination for a company generating annual revenue of $150 million. Our US operations are headquartered in Dulles, Virginia; the part time Marketing Communications Associate position will interface with local and global teams to deliver compliant proposals and marketing communication initiatives for a cutting-edge B2B company, adhering to established policies and procedures. Local candidates preferred, may be required to go into the office periodically.

 

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

 

  • Accurate and cost effective tradeshow management with clear attention to detail, budget, timelines, messaging and branding
  • Drive proposal management activities in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely responses with effective team coordination
  • Manage tradeshows, events, seminars, including booth properties, logistics preparation, event managers/external vendors, and new event participation plans
  • Create and maintain sales support materials, including customer presentation templates, market strategy deployment, collateral, fighting guides, newsletters, white papers, giveaways, etc., ensuring adherence to corporate branding policies
  • Investigate, secure and support speaking opportunities within the industry
  • Support traditional and social media messaging with press releases and postings
  • Drive proposal deliverables and proposal management efforts for quotes, RFXs, and SOW procurement deliverables as needed, including setting schedules, assigning work packages, and coordinating content submission from writers, as well as final editing and formatting
  • Responsible for maintaining proposal management logging system, communicating updates to the organization and directly interfacing with Executives, Stakeholders, and Sales throughout the proposal process
  • Assist with other proposal and marketing efforts as needed to support department
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Marketing, Communications, English majors preferred) plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and extreme attention to detail necessary for writing, editing and formatting assignments and technical information
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills to work effectively in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment that requires balancing multiple assignments simultaneously on a daily basis
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but participate in a team and manage deliverables as required
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels from diverse cultures and with varying degrees of technical competency
  • Proficiency with multiple software programs: Microsoft Office required and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Pro, Sharepoint, and Salesforce a plus
