Job Summary


Machine Operator will be responsible to set up and operate the Automated Card Inspection, Hot Stamp, Laser Inkjet machines.  The operator reports daily totals to the Leadhand, Card Finishing and performs daily audit function on the work in progress.


Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm




•    Set up and operate machines as required
•    Work Closely with Auxiliary Operators and Quality and Production personnel to define the inspection standards for the machines
•    Make adjustments for proper alignment on machines when required
•    Responsible for meeting all Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) deliverables
•    Inspect the quality of cards being produced by maintaining card tolerance stated on the ISO specifications
•    Maintain and follow all security requirements
•    Able to troubleshoot minor equipment problems when required
•    Check production orders prior to the start of every shift for job requirements
•    Follow quality checks and procedures set by Management and Quality Control Department
•    Record inventory control and material usage per job order and update all logs associated with each machine
•    Follow daily schedule and productivity standards set by Leadhand, Card Finishing is mandatory
•    Train new hires as required
•    Organize, clean workstation and machines after each shift
•    Complete all daily paperwork and audit control sheets daily
•    Other duties as assigned


Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements


•    A minimum of 2 years experience an asset as a Machine Operator is preferred
•    Ability to interpret and comprehend information from job specification sheets 
•    Attention to detail and willingness to take initiative
•    Basic Computer skills required
•    Must be good with problem solving and ability to multi-task
•    Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•    Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines
•    Ability to apply general common sense and courtesy
•    Strong time Management skills
•    Must be quality conscious and motivated 
•    Customer focus mindset is preferred
•    High School Diploma is preferred


Working Conditions


•    Deal with changing workload and conditions
•    Must be able to work on a rotating shift if required. (Days/Afternoons/Evenings)
•    Responsible to maintain confidentiality 
•    Overtime and weekend work at times may be required


Physical Requirements


•    Ability to work standing on both feet 100% of the time while operating machinery
•    Ability to lift 10-20 lbs. from the floor, up to waist level, frequently
•    Ability to frequently bend, lift, walk, crouch, sit and kneel
•    Requires keen eyesight and alertness to detail
•    May be required to work long periods of time at computer screen
