Senior Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

G+D ePayments is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d) for its R&D department at its Munich Headquarters as soon as possible. As a part of the team, you will be working within an international team and will be responsible for planning, implementation and execution of the tests, as well as the maintenance or setup of the test environment and further enhancement of the test automation framework. You will also be working on streamlining and innovating the process. You will be directly communicating with multiple stakeholders like Product Owners, the RnD Team, Project Managers, the Ops Team etc., while providing test statistics in an unambiguous and appealing manner.

Your tasks

• Designing, developing and refining of automated tests

• Planning, implementation and execution of tests in the Mobile Payment/Authentication area

• Extending the existing automated test framework covering aspects like functional tests, error provocation, performance tests and high-availability tests including evaluation of new testing tools and providing POCs

• Ensuring high test coverage using automated continues integration tests

• Testing, qualification and ensuring quality of the delivered team artifacts for all customer projects

• Presenting status and issues in clear concise manner to appropriate levels in management

• Working in conjunction with Product Management, Operations team and other stakeholders

• Be able to function in an matrix environment with multiple stake holders often with competing priorities and requirements and with strict timelines

Your qualifications

• Degree in Computer science, Information Science or related

• 8+ years of experience in IT

• especially in agile methodologies like Scrum

• Experience with test management tools including manual testing as well as test automation experience in programming (Java, Perl, Shell and Bash), testing of web based applications, Rest API testing as well as knowledge of Java 8+, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Apache Maven and optionally Selenium/Appium for UI automation, including knowledge of different testing types, additionally performance testing experience

• Experience with DevOps tools and workflows (e.g. Jira, Bamboo)

• Knowledge of protocols such as HTTP(S), JMS or equivalents

• Familiarity with Linux OS of any kind including server deployment and processes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English in order to translate technical requirements/solutions into use/test cases and presenting them to business executives
