ERP/MRP Project Specialist

Job Summary:

The ERP/MRP Project Specialist works under the direction of the Sr. Supply Chain Manager and is the “super user” of ERP/MRP Syteline system for Twinsburg Ohio facility.  The ERP/MRP Project Specialist works with the functional Syteline subject matter experts, primarily with Production, Sales, Logistics, Customer Service, Finance, and IT and is responsible to develop and integrate standard operating policies, develop processes to ensure data competency, maintain data accuracy, and ensure that the data is kept current.

 

Job Duties:

  • Learn all aspects and functionality of the current Syteline ERP system
  • Learn all aspects and functionality of the new IQ ERP system, train all users, configure new tool and implement new tool
  • Develop and integrate standard operating procedures
  • Creates new parts and maintains system data within the Syteline ERP system
  • Assists with the preparation and drafting of Production and other departments work instructions
  • Trains end users in process and procedure of the Syteline ERP system and provide day-to-day support. Take regular users and raise them to a higher level of understanding within the system.  Provides testing support for all subject matter experts in the Twinsburg facility and directly involved in user acceptance tests of the system
  • Works with project teams to help implement, maintain, and improve Internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions
  • Effectively communicates relevant Syteline ERP/MRP related information to site management and internal clients (as appropriate) and evaluates alternative solutions as needed
  • Maintains knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures including inventory control and configuration control.  Attends additional system training and stays current on new releases or system upgrades   
  • Demonstrates the ability to work in a cross-discipline team environment and appropriate prioritize multiple requests from system users
  • Provides first line support for all users within the Operations group
  • Works under general supervision but is expected to use knowledge and experience to provide quality support to the user base
  • Engages appropriate expert resources when complex support issues arise
  • Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly and polices of transactions which is entered by ERP users including reporting improper system usage
  • Generates and analyzes various reports within the Syteline ERP system, such as Work in Process reports and determine what corrective actions may be necessary to correct jobs that are not on track
  • Posts various transactions with the Syteline ERP system including but not limited to:  Material Stock Issues, Job Material Transactions, Labor Posting, and Job Receipts
  • Evaluates written data, such as job orders, product specifications and operations sheets, parts/materials inventory lists, and machine/labor rates, to establish efficient allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, machines, and sequences of operations and workflow
  • Adjusts and reconciles WIP inventories as requested by management
  • Monitors and controls work in process through to finished goods by utilizing all available tools within Syteline ERP, such as: job tickets, job travelers, and performance vs. schedule measurements
  • Consults with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments
  • Assists with providing materials plans and processing purchase requisitions as needed to appropriate Managers
  • Assists with physical/cycle inventories on work in process, adjust materials plan as necessary, and other duties as assigned

 

Job Specifications:

  • Work performed in an office environment with some exposure to light industrial setting
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, reach and move about facilities for 8-10 hours a day
  • Physically able to bend, lift, and stand over long periods of time
  • Adhering to MasterCard and Visa association standards

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business or related Technical field preferred.  Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills required
  • SQL background a plus
  • 3+ years of ERP Manufacturing application(s) product experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with multiple levels of management and staff throughout the organization
  • Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Effective analytical ability with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
