Programmer Analyst II

Job Summary:

Programmer Analyst II implements custom configurations using data and event-driven proprietary development platforms in combination with industry tools including C#, .net, Python, MS-SQL, and SAP ERP integration. Requires ability to visualize and translate business requirements into technical work packages, create and modify configurations, conduct code reviews, prepare test cases, and handle day-to-day support and incident resolution for assigned projects.  Apply technical experience and programming skills to produce, deploy, and support integrated production systems.  These systems manage data generation that create production files and reports to support card personalization, logistics, and digital enablement tools. Activities include requirements assessment, technical design and configuration, and implementing standard features and custom logic chains, unit and end-to-end testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Individual contributor, accountable to develop and maintain client solutions using a blend of standard configurations and where needed, crafting custom features.
  • Responsible to setup new client projects including secure file transfer with data generation using ETL tools, and producing output for operations and client use.
  • Maintains comprehensive change actions consistently across DEV, UAT and Production instances, and uses controlled project migration methods (Jira).
  • Acts in a consultative SME role while explaining system capabilities with cross-functional stakeholders to convey technical concepts in understandable terms.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent assignments, and timely deliver to meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Adheres to company policies, follows department procedures and standard practices, and respects guidelines governing data privacy and security.
  • Conducts oneself in a professional manner at all times with good communication and collaboration skills in English, team player.
  • Self-starter with willingness to work primarily onsite and assist beyond regular office hours when occasionally needed.
  • Work performed in a light industrial setting with some exposure to shop floor noise, and may lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Technical expertise

  • Ability to independently evaluate requirements and build program logic involving data manipulation (ETL), and use of MS-SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills, problem solving mindset, and level-3 troubleshooting experience to identify root cause and effectively resolve issues.
  • Proven ability to generate technical requirements, create use-cases, conduct unit and validation testing, and deliver first-time-right deployments.

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar area with 2+ years of relevant experience; or an Associate's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge and ability to create MS-SQL stored procedures, scripts and queries
  • Competency with C#, XML, .Net, Python, and SFTP communications preferred
  • Familiarity with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and manufacturing supply chain environments including SAP ERP is preferred
  • Proficiency using MS-Office tools (Project, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio)
  • Prior banking/payment card industry (PCI-CP) experience and familiarity with cryptography and data encryption methods is a plus
