Job Summary

The Manual Operator I is responsible for ensuring that all secure products that are released from the vault are provided to GDCAMS internal and external customers, by following the GDCAMS current policies and procedures. The Manual Operator is also responsible for helping ensure that GDCAMS meets the service level agreements, by providing material to production in a timely manner.


Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 pm - 7:15 am or Monday - Friday, 3;00 pm - 11:15 pm



  • Provide quick and reliable service for internal and external customers 
  • Work in accordance to GDCAMS procedures and policies 
  • Perform all data entry duties 
  • Escalate any business or safety concerns to Senior Operator  or Supervisor 
  • Adhere to all GDCAMS corporate security policies and procedures 
  • Perform out-going quality inspections / audit requirements of secure material 
  • Move skids / material from department to departments 
  • Load  and stock pile material on to shelves or skids
  • Perform inventory audits / cycle counts as per GDCAMS current policies and procedures
  • Perform material destruction / shredding  of secure products as per GDCAMS policies and procedures
  • Perform daily, monthly equipment calibrations
  • Keep vault area and work stations clean – general housekeeping
  • Provide suggestion to Supervisor for process improvement opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior Operator, and or Supervisor that may not be listed above
  • Comply with G&D Environmental, Health & Safety  policies, procedures and report any Environmental, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor/manager.  Management will ensure employees are provided with job specific Environmental, Health & Safety information, training and also ensure employees follow workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures. 


Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements

  • 1 year equivalent work experience in a high security company 
  • Completion of High School preferred  
  • Good communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize with good attention to detail
  • SAP processing knowledge and experience would be an asset


Working Conditions

  • Fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Safety shoes and smock required on the production floor
  • Able to work overtime as required


Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for a long periods of time
  • Able to climb ladders
