Technical Consultant/Customer Product Manager - SIM/eSIM

Job Overview :

  • Represent technically the telecom division team for the India market. 

  • Ensure timely qualification of eSIM and SIM cards with various telecom operators, original equipment and design manufacturers. 

  • Assist the sales force for defining customer technical needs and Request For Proposal technical answers. 

  • Assist customer and consulting on-site or remotely with product validation and interoperability testing. 

  • Ensures customer satisfaction in relation to the eSIM and SIM product, as well as to provide technical support on queries with respect to end to end solution proposals. 

  • Participate in high-level technology meetings with clients, vendors, workgroups, etc, Travel on an as needed basis 

  • Involve technically and coordinate actions with departments involved (sales, customer service, R&D, pre-production & production) in a new product development, along with customer and external organization (e.g. MNO, OEMs), from the technical proposal of the solution until the deployment, including security and key management procedures

Objectives 

  • Increase of the added value of the assigned products, in particular in the areas of customer 

  • consultancy, customization and applications (value added services) 

  • Develop comprehensive application/system/profile/test specifications according to the customer requests and project specific. 

 

Accountabilities  

  • Monitoring and reporting on product projects within the India region, ensuring that the established quality and security criteria as well as customer's requirements are timely met 

  • Approval of the final result for volume production without any issue. 

 

Responsibilities 

Management Responsibilities 

  • Disciplinary management of telecom division, including definition of objectives, salary and development of employees 

  • Functional management of entire telecom connectivity division Customer Product Management India, including cooperation with disciplinary management in definition of objectives 

  • Provide worldwide technical management of globally operating customer groups through technical key account managers 

  • Offer support and training of Customer Product Managers world-wide, including from within 

  • regional teams. 

  • Communication and coordination with Product Management to be familiarized with the products that are being developed 

  • Provide support in technical quality claims 

  • Participate with the rest of the global leadership team in defining global processes, quality standards and efficiency measures 

  • Defining customer specific roadmap and technical strategy based on global product roadmap 

 

CPM Responsibilities

  • Provide project management for introduction of (U)SIM cards and eSIMs, data generation, applications and data exchange interfaces to MNO, Automotive and Tech Company customers, including for customer specific developments 

  • Advise and provide technical support of the products to the customer, to the team itself, to other departments and subsidiaries within the company 

  • Evaluate projects requested by customers, determine their feasibility and set priorities 

  • Provide customer consultancy, identifying and clarifying customer requirements, elaborate specifications and promoting TCD (Telecom) products

  • Clarify general specifications of the projects according to the needs of the client 

  • Defining and implementing customer specific product configurations during the complete PLM life cycle 

  • Offer technical support to the sales domains in product promotion tasks (meetings with customer, sales presentations, training courses, etc.), during the analysis, evaluation and the framing of offers / tenders during pre-sales, as well as reviewing of technical portions of contracts 

  • Coordinate, with TCD (Telecom) Product Integration and Data Generation world-wide, the development of applications required by customers, in particular the issuing of development orders for operating systems, applications, data generation and management of the test card process. 

  • Coordinate with release sample testing team for volume release sample before volume production process 

  • Coordinate with Tool Development, Managed Services and Data Generation for new data generation requirements and improvements. 

  • Coordinate with internal Sales and Customer Services team to successful delivery of Volume 

  • Release Samples, post supply issue resolution and Fast Track Samples, timely qualifications 

 

Qualifications 

Education and experience 

  • University degree in Electrical, Computer, Telecommunications, specializing in Telematics or 

  • Electronic Systems, Engineering; or Technical Industrial Engineering, specializing in Electronics; or similar degree. 

  • Understanding of SIM Card and GSM/3G/LTE/5G/CDMA/eSIM/IoT related technologies 

  • Previous customer support and training experience in technical / wireless / telecom industries desirable 

  • 8 years as manager in a market similar to telecom division in particular to eSIM and SIM cards and have managed a team in prior experience. 

  • 4 years as project or product manager in a market similar to telecom market, or 

  • 6 years as member from TCD (Telecom) type product integration 

 

Knowledge and skills 

 

  • Fluent written and spoken English 

  • Microsoft Office skills at an advanced user level 

  • Basic SAP knowledge is preferable 

  • High degree of business acumen in regards to management skills, social skills, including 

  • communication, organisational skills, product knowledge, problem solving, prioritisation, diplomacy, negotiation skills, teamwork, customer-oriented
