We are looking for a Junior IoT Repair & Support Specialist to support our Repair & Maintenance Team in repairing, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting our IoT tracking devices and customers. In this role, you will combine hands-on technical repair activities with customer support responsibilities, helping customers resolve technical issues and ensuring that service requests are handled in accordance with our SLAs. You will be trained step by step and work closely with colleagues from Repair, Support, Product, Operations, and Customer Success to improve device quality, customer satisfaction, and internal processes.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Repair, refurbish, and perform functional testing of IoT devices (hardware, software, and firmware)
  • Diagnose device failures and conduct initial root-cause analyses
  • Validate firmware versions and device configurations based on customer use cases
  • Ensure that repaired and refurbished devices meet defined quality standards
  • Document repair activities, test results, and technical findings in internal systems
  • Process repair and support requests in accordance with defined SLAs
  • Support customers with technical inquiries, troubleshooting, device setup, and connectivity issues
  • Create customized reports on a regular basis
  • Manage support tickets and provide timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Escalate complex technical issues to Product, Engineering, or other specialist teams when required
  • Maintain and improve knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and support documentation
  • Support warehouse operations, including spare parts management, device logistics, and recycling activities
  • Identify recurring technical issues and contribute to product, process, and service improvements
  • Collaborate closely with Repair, Support, Product, Customer Success, and Operations teams to improve customer satisfaction and device reliability
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and quality requirements

 

Your Qualifications

 

  • Completed technical training, such as mechatronics technician, electronics technician, IT systems technician, or a comparable qualification
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics in a clear and customer-friendly manner
  • A structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style with a passion for troubleshooting
  • Initial experience with IoT devices, embedded systems, or connected hardware gained through internships, vocational training, private projects, or professional experience
  • Initial experience in technical customer support, helpdesk, service desk, or customer-facing technical roles is an advantage
  • Strong interest in troubleshooting technical issues and helping customers resolve problems
  • Experience with ticketing and collaboration tools such as Jira, Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Confluence
  • Basic knowledge of repair and testing methods, or a strong willingness to learn quickly
  • Basic understanding of wireless technologies such as GNSS, LTE-M, LTE, Bluetooth, and sensor technologies (training will be provided)
  • Careful handling of sensitive data and SIM cards, with strict adherence to security and data protection regulations
  • A team-oriented mindset, proactive attitude, and willingness to learn
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
