Job overview:

The Profile Engineer is a technical job to setup data generation and personalization of physical and virtual profiles. Profile Engineers are part of the Service Delivery & Operations function, under the supervision of the Regional Head Service Delivery & Operations. Functionally, Profile Engineers report to the Cloud & DC Manager.

Profile Engineers’ main responsibilities are to personalize test cards for delivery to customers and configuration of chip cards for personalization and data generation based on specifications.

Important skills for Profile Engineers include experience in database systems, PC-networks usage of system software for data generation and chip card personalization.



  • Prepare and provide configuration profiles for new products
  • Produce cards in order to validate and release new products
  • Transfer the released configuration to a real production environment in the optimized and compliance conditions
  • Follow Professional Services process landscape and compliance requirements
  • Take accountability and responsibility towards assigned process roles
  • Project engagement
  • Time objective: Spend of budgeted time on planned tasks
  • G+D values



  • Coordinate tasks with DataGen Engineer in order to set up the product in real production environment
  • Support DataGen Engineer in case of incident
  • Stay updated with new product specifications and updates in the product/service specifications
  • Keep in contact with R&D for new software releases
  • Ensure specifications are received from Customer Project Managers
  • Inform Regional Head Service Delivery & Operations and Global Resource Coordinator when unplanned work will impact planned work
  • Manage time in accordance with planned and assigned activities to ensure accuracy and quality in planning
  • Follow Professional Services global policies, procedures and tools
  • Meet compliance and information security requirements in service operations
  • Evaluate, improve and add applicable work instructions
  • Identify and address day-to-day continuous improvement activities towards Regional Service Quality Manager and/or supervisor for further actions, related to tools, procedures and compliance fulfilment 
  • Timely and accurate time reporting


General knowledge and skills:

  • Basic knowledge in PC-network (LAN)
  • Basic knowledge of database systems like MS SQL Server
  • Knowledge of relevant market technologies in secure environments
  • Service specific knowledge related to payment, telecommunication and OEM solutions
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management
  • Basic understanding of software development processes
  • Ability to work under pressure
