At G+D Mobile Security, a world leader in secure telecommunications systems, we are looking for a Demand Planner Manager to join our team in Barcelona.
As a Demand Planner you will be responsible for analyzing market demand, forecasting product needs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the optimal inventory levels. The role requires a strong understanding of semiconductor products, excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand analysis and forecasting: Analyze sales data and demand patterns to develop accurate forecasts for semiconductor products.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize excess or obsolete inventory
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to align supply with demand forecasts and optimize inventory replenishment
- Identify and address inventory discrepancies or shortages, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues
- Participate in sales and operations planning process to align demand forecasts with production capacity and supply chain capabilities
- Provide input and recommendations to ensure accurate and achievable sales forecasts, taking intou account production lead times, capacity constraints and market demand
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including sales, operations and product management to gather input and validate demand forecasts
- Close collaboration with Controlling to monitor stocks
- Close collaboration with Sales
- Communicate demand forecasts and inventory plans to relevant teams and deparments, ensuring alignment and understanding of supply chain requirements
- Continuous improvement and analysis of processes, tools and systems.
- Conduct analysis on demand planning processes and systems, recommening enhancements or automation opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics and technological advancements in the semiconductor industry to anticipate and respond to changes in demand
- Prepares presentations for all management levels
Accountabilities:
- Optimization of stock availability
- Monitoring and management of inventory levels to balance stock availability and inventory/working capital
- Continuouos process improvement
- Preparation of accurate presentation material
- Stock allocations
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Strong Knowledge of SAP APO-DP and IBP
- Proven experience as a Demand Planner or similar role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
