We're looking for a talented and motivated Embedded Software Engineer to join our Research & Development team in Barcelona.
What You'll Work On
Have you ever wondered how smartphones, connected cars, smartwatches, industrial sensors, and other IoT devices connect securely to mobile networks?
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you'll design, implement, and optimize embedded software for secure, high-performance systems. You'll work on solutions that enable reliable communication between people, devices, and machines around the world.
Our Barcelona R&D center develops solutions used by some of the world's leading smartphone manufacturers, automotive companies, and IoT companies. You'll work closely with software engineers, system architects, testers, and product owners in an international environment.
Your work will contribute directly to the reliability, scalability, and security of our products.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to delivery and maintenance.
- Analyze requirements, estimate effort, and contribute to release planning and sprint planning activities.
- Contribute to software architecture and design decisions for secure embedded platforms.
- Implement embedded software based on formal designs, with particular attention to security countermeasures and non-functional requirements.
- Participate in code reviews from both architectural and security perspectives.
- Verify and validate product behavior against functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and successful delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement of software development processes and engineering practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in embedded software development, preferably two years or more.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Java, C, C++, and Python.
- Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals and cybersecurity concepts.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with version control and collaboration tools including Git, Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
- Experience developing software for ARM Cortex-M architectures.
- Familiarity with toolchains such as Keil uVision, ARM GCC, and Clang/LLVM.
- Experience with artifact repository and dependency management solutions such as Nexus.
- Experience with continuous integration environments, preferably Jenkins.
- Knowledge of process improvement and quality frameworks such as CMMI and ASPICE.
