Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for numbers and a knack for working in a dynamic, international setting? We're looking for a Project Accountant to join our Finance Team in Spain, responsible for ensuring compliance with established global processes and accurate reflection of business transactions in the financial records of all G+D legal entities. 

 


Key Responsibilities:

Order Intake Management:

  • Serve as the go-to person for the Sales team, overseeing all aspects of the global Order Intake Registration Process.
  • Handle the receipt, verification, and registration of customer orders, ensuring all documentation and legal requirements are met.
  • Proactively address and resolve issues with unregistered orders.
  • Engage in consistent monthly coordination with local teams to streamline order intake processes.

 

Project Accounting:

  • Create, configure and maintain customer projects and Service Contracts in SAP.
  • Monitor customer projects throughout their entire lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities with key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and operational processes.
  • Ensure data accuracy within the system, as entered by local teams.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to confirm Final Acceptance and ensure timely project closure in SAP.
  • Lead revenue and cost recognition for customer projects following Final Acceptance confirmation.
  • Support local teams during month-end closing.
  • Coordinate and monitor resource-related billing activities conducted by local teams.
  • Play a key role in system migrations and the rollout of new processes and tools.
  • Manage and maintain various Excel spreadsheets crucial for daily operations and reporting.
  • Tackle any additional ad hoc tasks as needed.

 

 

Qualifications

  • University degree in business administration or equivalent is required
  • Minimum 2 years of professional finance experience in a multinational company, preferably in accounting or controlling
  • Knowledge of SAP and CPQ is a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel is required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on establishing efficient processes and routines
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a clear, structured working approach
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with various stakeholders
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks/projects and high-pressure situations
  • Strong sense of ownership, combined with a team-player attitude
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory both written and spoken; any additional languages are highly valued
