Job Summary

The Lead Analyst, Data & Materials will partner with internal stakeholders to ensure successful life-cycle management of globally-shared master data elements across multiple integrated systems, including SAP ERP and proprietary solutions. The position will support the proper configuration, setup, organization and creation of SAP Master Materials Records (MMR) for the planning, procurement, use and control according to company needs and customer requirements.  The lead analyst will assist the organization and classification of bill of materials, operation routings, product hierarchy, MRP parameters and other relevant classifications.  Performance will be to support production requirements, new product launches, load balance orders, and maintenance of item masters for product and data management.  The position will engage with CIT for sales order entry and conducting Design Review for proper sales order setup and configuration. The lead analyst will provide primary operational support as subject matter expert related to production data used within card manufacturing and personalization systems.

 

Duties & Responsibilties:

  • Day-to-day management of all master material data activities in support of customer service levels and working capital targets. Meet or exceed defined service levels that directly influence the department’s achievement of targeted financial goals. 
  • Support the creation of materials numbers impacting inventory, purchasing and planning aligned we overall supply chain need in collaboration with organization.
  • Ensure proper setup and updates of Material Master Records for MRP, BOM’s, routing, classification, replenishment, hierarchy and info all belong within.  Collaborate with Finance for costing errors and discrepancies. 
  • Verification of accuracy of MMR with regard to sales orders, production orders, and purchase requisitions and orders.
  • Participates with stakeholders to identify required data elements and SAP characteristics, prepares configuration details and documentation, implements and verifies material-related setups, and provides end-user support.
  • Evaluates, collects, and correlates relevant data content to support reporting needs, including extracting and translating pertinent data into a form that can be readily understood by business users.
  • Provides support and root cause analysis for inventory issues tied to material master records BOMs and routings. 
  • Supports chip configurations in collaboration with Production IT, production, Inventory control, relevant subsidiaries and planning.
  • Setup and maintain item master for product management and the Sales & Operation Planning process.
  • Documenting SAP processes and SOPs through QM process. 
  • Provide ad-hoc support and troubleshoot issues with orders, material configurations, etc.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience and 3+ years of data management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required 
  • ERP experience (SAP preferred) 
  • Strong Excel and database building/navigating skills
  • Business awareness of cost effective materials management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to conceptualize and analyze tasks, plan needed actions, and use critical thinking skills to solve issues. 
  • Strong technical aptitude, including logical skillset and understanding of basic data management concepts.
  • Capable of learning technical applications using self-study of detailed documentation and applying concepts. 
  • Ability to understand complex system processing environments, and support resolution of data, application and system issues, including implementing corrective actions. 
  • Capable of balancing priorities to complete tasks and assignments in highly detailed and accurate manner.
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for actions, as well as interact with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
