Senior Programmer Analyst - Production IT

Production IT, Senior Programmer Analyst uses strong technical and programming skills in combination with robust data analysis and logic aptitude, to produce, deploy, and support integrated card issuance programs. This role includes an opportunity to learn EMV platforms and proprietary ETL tools to generate secure solutions for financial, government, and transit markets. Card issuance solutions include custom personalization, carrier design, logistics and digital enablement tools. These systems manage client data and create necessary production files and report output. Activities include requirements assessment, technical design, implementing standard features and custom logic chains, configuration testing, and support to satisfy business needs.


Job Duties:


Production IT, Senior Programmer Analyst will design and implement configurations using a combination of proprietary and industry tools, including SAP ERP integration and Jira workflows. Ability to conceptualize functional requirements and translate designs into detailed implementation work packages. Position requires collaboration with regional teams, and ability to guide enhancements for operational process improvements. Consults with stakeholders to align on technical features, develops configurations, conducts code reviews, prepares test cases, ensures end-to-end project integration, and supports incident resolution for assigned projects within card personalization systems.


Job Specifications: 


  • Individual contributor, accountable to design and implement robust end-to-end solutions, while reusing standard configurations and crafting custom features.
  • Configures new client projects, including file manipulation, proprietary ETL data translation, generating reports for production processes, and life-cycle support.
  • Responsible to maintain comprehensive change actions consistently across DEV, UAT and Production instances, and uses controlled migration methods.
  • Acts in a consultative SME role while explaining system capabilities with cross-functional stakeholders to convey technical concepts in understandable terms.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent assignments, and timely deliver to meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Adheres to company policies, follows department procedures and standard practices, and respects guidelines governing data privacy and security.
  • Conducts oneself in a professional manner at all times with good communication skills in English, team player.
  • Self-starter with willingness to work primarily onsite and assist beyond regular office hours when occasionally needed.
  • Work performed in a light industrial setting with some exposure to shop floor noise, and may lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications and Skills:  


Technical expertise:

  • Ability to independently evaluate requirements, create end-to-end designs, and build program logic involving data manipulation (ETL) using MS-SQL database.
  • Possesses detail-orientation with strong critical thinking skills, problem solving mindset, and level-3 troubleshooting experience to effectively resolve issues within complex data processing environments.
  • Practical experience defining technical requirements and use-cases, conducting validation testing, and delivering first-time-right multi-instance implementations.
  • Prior experience working with Jira tools, manufacturing environments, and SAP ERP system is preferred but not required.
  • Prior banking/payment card industry experience with knowledge of cryptography and data encryption methods is a plus.




  • Bachelor degree in technical discipline such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar area with 5+ years of relevant experience; or an Associate Degree with 7+ years of relevant experience is required.
  • 3+ years’ experience producing data-driven solutions based on MS-SQL Server.
  • Competency with C#, XML, .Net, Python, and SFTP communications, preferred.
  • Proficiency using MS-Office tools (Project, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio).
  • Prior experience involving POS/ATM financial authorization systems, integrated-circuits/smart cards, encryption, and payment card industry (PCI-CP) is a plus.
