Summary:

Veridos America is a world-leading provider of integrated identity solutions trusted by governments, organizations, businesses, and regional authorities worldwide. Our comprehensive product portfolio includes Driver Licenses, Health Cards, ID Cards, Passports, Facial Recognition Solutions, and Bar Code/Magnetic Stripe Forensic Readers. We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment and systems related to card personalization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair production equipment efficiently.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Set up equipment in alignment with the production schedule.
  • Coordinate with the production shift supervisor.
  • Collaborate with external support technicians via email or phone.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and conduct rules.
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
  • Maintain adequate spare parts inventory.
  • Order replacements as needed.
  • Create purchase orders for supplies.
  • Maintain records of vendors, part numbers, contacts, and pricing.
  • Document best practices and repeatable maintenance procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Assist in reorganization or relocation of machinery and workspaces.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with ISO standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in PLC, AC/DC, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics.
  • 2-4 years of vocational and/or maintenance technician experience.
  • Independent, proactive work style with strong project management skills.
  • Comfortable with precision hand movements during machinery operation.
  • Proficient in hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Ability to manage hazardous materials safely.
  • Basic knowledge of collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft software (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Resilience, flexibility, and agility.
  • Experience in the ID card industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Entrust MX6100, MX8100, MxD-Mxi, or similar systems is advantageous.
  • Successful completion of drug test and criminal background check.
  • Normal color perception and correctable eyesight to 20/20.
