Secure Production Operator/Inspector Position Overview

The Secure Production Operator/Inspector-1st Shift works Monday through Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm and plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at our manufacturing facility. This position involves managing production machines used for high-security card personalization and mailing services, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining inventory levels. You will interact directly with the Operations Manager for the Highly Secure Area (HSA) department and be expected to fulfill various additional tasks as assigned.

 

Duties and Essential Functions

  • Prepare, supply, and operate production machines dedicated to secure card personalization or mailing services.
  • Retrieve daily work files from workstations to facilitate the day’s production objectives.
  • Coordinate material delivery to workstations, focusing on the appropriate allocation of resources to achieve shift targets.
  • Monitor inventory levels for essential production materials such as envelopes, inserts, and blank paper, and notify the manager if stock levels are insufficient.
  • Inspect the quality of produced materials rigorously to meet organizational standards.
  • Perform data entry tasks, specifically using Microsoft Excel, to maintain production records.
  • Report any operational concerns or challenges to the Operations Manager for the HSA department.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment to promote operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications 

  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant or similar multi-tasking environment.
  • Customer-focused team player with strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to spend 75% of the workday standing or walking.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Must possess high standards of personal integrity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to employment.
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
  • Must Hold United States Citizenship.
