Sales Executive, US Government
SALES EXECUTIVE, US GOVERNMENT
As a Sales Executive, you will promote and sell the Veridos portfolio of integrated identity solutions into US Government agencies as well as other verticals including healthcare, system integrators.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and maintain strategic and tactical sales strategies for customers within assigned territory
- Lead Pre-RFP capture plans, collaborate with proposal team to shape and write RFP responses
- Achieve annual sales targets at or above quota and within margin goals
- Proactively seek and create opportunities, identify and acquire potential new customers
- Collaborate with Professional Services team to help strengthen existing customer relationships and identify or create new sales opportunities for existing accounts.
- Provide customer and market feedback to our internal marketing and product development teams
- Monitor and provide input on marketing efforts to ensure they are effective
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand client needs, propose appropriate solutions, and close deals.
- Represent Veridos at industry conferences
- Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to stay informed of emerging opportunities and potential threats.
- Provide oversight on legislation and grant processes that can impact business develop pursuits
- Maintain account and sales prospect profiles in Salesforce, including updates for all customer contacts and changes in strategies
- Collaborate with Account Management teams to help grow customer relationships, up to and including CXO level
- Lead customer sales presentations and product demos
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecast updates
- Qualifies sales prospects, socialize and resource opportunity through business develop gate process
- Partner with account managers and Professional Services to help expand business scope of existing customers, collaborate on developing account retention strategies, and achieve recommend status across all accounts
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Strong IT consultative solution sales skills in the government sector, preferably in the US Driver License market
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop and implement customized IT solutions for government clients.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex sales cycles and navigating government procurement processes.
- Knowledge and study of identity, biometrics, and/or e-government technology space
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong government procurement and RFP experience, State Government preferred
- Ability to establish and grow genuine relationships with government officials as well as internal colleagues.
- Strong leader, highly motivated and results oriented, can work autonomously with drive and persistence.
- Expert communicator (written and verbal), strong and effective presenter
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support business development efforts.
- Able to collaborate and work in a team environment
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5+ years in proven solution sales, preferably US State Government
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- U.S. Citizenship
