Scope and Purpose:

  • Presale solution Managers support during proposal phases and presale phases

  • Defining, Building and developing technical solution based on the Veridos product & solution portfolio

Responsibilities:

  • Solution Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect robust Border Control, identity and passport systems, including biometric data capture, document issuance, and border control solutions.

  • System Design and Integration: Lead the technical design process, ensuring seamless integration of various components, such as biometric scanners, databases, and authentication protocols.

  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders (Proposal Managers, Sales Managers, Business Line, etc.) to understand customer needs and translate them into technical requirements.

  • Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate and select appropriate technology vendors for hardware, software, and infrastructure components.

  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including Presales Managers, Service Managers, and clients.

  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential technical risks related to system implementation and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in solution architecture, system design, and implementation.

  • Proven track record in identity management, passport systems, and or border control solutions.

  • Familiarity with biometrics, PKI, and secure document issuance.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in system integration, database design, and network architecture.

    • Technical writing. Knowledge of relevant standards (ICAO, ISO, etc.).

    • Familiarity with technologies such as RFID, facial recognition, and fingerprint scanning.

    • Understanding of cloud-based solutions and cybersecurity is a plus.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    • Strong problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.

    • Results-oriented mindset.

  • This role involves occasional travel to client sites and international conferences.

  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.

  • Discussion, understanding and analysis of high-level customer requirements

  • Technical qualification of leads and RFP documents together with our product managers within the different business lines

  • Creation of technical solution concepts in close cooperation with colleagues from system integration and product development and on site at the customer

  • Works with proposal teams at each stage of customer engagement covering initial positioning, customer workshops, final offer presentation & negotiations to help win deals and drive revenue generation – helping develop and using various sales tools including value statements / proposition sheets, elevator pitches, presentations, demos, POCs etc.

  • Works with Sales teams to identify core focus areas and drive proposals in that area; provide continual education and coaching to sales teams on Veridos offers.

  • Assisting with potential partner selection for fitment within Veridos solution / product stack to complete offers to the market

  • Selection of potential local partners and suppliers for customer specific solutions

  • Predetermination of the delivery and commercial framework for software and service deliveries from external and internal partners

  • Coordination of the planned solution architecture with technical management, product management and product architects

  • Handover of requirement documents, solution concepts to the proposal team to create binding offers
