Developer (Contract - 12 Months)

Job Summary
The position of  developer is to contribute to full development life cycle, including: requirement analysis, functional design, technical design, programming, testing, documentation, implementation, and technical support.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and create technical, functional specifications. 
  • Configure client setup on Common Development Platform (CDP) to reflect technical requirements.
  • Coordinate developers to build and implement technology solutions
  • Integrate multiple systems and reconcile needs of different teams
  • Develop components or  applications to reflect technical requirements
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Perform unit, system testing and User Acceptance Testing.  
  • Migrate code to all environments
  • Complete change management documentations and adhere to change management processes
  • Provide quotes for programming requests
  • Update time tracking system in a daily basis
  • Provide support and coverage to other subsidiaries.
  • Interface with development manager and project manager for status and progress update for project works
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project deliverables are met on time and per quoted work effort. 
  • Provide advice and technical training

 

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Work with IT scheduling to manage incoming implementation requests
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings with manager, IT development, to provide updates and status of team.
  • Troubleshoot and respond to platform and production issues
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Work Experience:

  • Proven experience as an IT Analyst, IT Consultant or similar role 
  • 4+ years software development experience in Windows environment.

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • In depth knowledge and experience with core Microsoft .Net technologies including: WCF, WPF, and Web API.
  • Proficient with Microsoft .NET development using C#.
  • Working knowledge of MS SQL is required (stored procedures, functions, queries)
  • Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
  • Excellent understanding of various file formats is required
  • Understanding of various system integration technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required
  • Ability to work well in a team environment is required
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects is required
  • Must be able to work against deadlines and outside regular office hours when the arises
  • Must be willing to travel to our regional offices/client site to provide support and coverage

 

Working Conditions

  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • At times, may be required to work evenings or weekends to meet deadlines
  • Will work primarily in an office setting and may be required to travel to our regional offices/client site 

 

Physical Requirements

  • At times, may be required to wear a smock and safety shoes while visiting the production floor
